Our Laboratory has registered for the new AusIMM 2025 Parker Challenge. The competition focuses on the orientation and continuity directions of a Carlin gold deposit. For the next period until March 24, 2025, the staff of the Laboratory will analyze the available data, construct a reserve model of the deposit, and document the overall process according to the instructions of the organizers. The contest and data are sponsored by Barrick.

Our Laboratory is happy to announce the renewal of Maptek Vulcan, GeologyCore, PointStudio, and DomainMCF licenses for the new academic year. The number of licenses has also been increased due to our additional requirements. The software is extensively used in a number of undergraduate courses, such as Mine Planning and Applied Geostatistics at the Laboratory of Mining Informatics and Machine Learning Applications, in final year projects and PhD research. We are most thankful to Maptek for the continuous support.
