The Laboratory is housed in a fully equipped room of the University of Western Macedonia at the Koila campus, has modern computing systems, and can support its research and educational activities.
The following software packages are installed on the computers of the laboratory and are used for research and training:
- Maptek Vulcan: three-dimensional mine planning package of Maptek Pty Ltd.
- Maptek PointStudio: point cloud analysis and modeling package from Maptek Pty Ltd.
- MapInfo Professional: GIS package from Precisely.
- AutoCAD & Raster Design: Autodesk’s CAD and remote sensing data management software.
- tNavigator: reservoir modeling and simulation software from Rock Flow Dynamics
- ERDAS Imagine: Hexagon’s remote sensing data processing package.
- MODFLOW: USGS hydrological modeling program.
- ODOS: three-dimensional road design package of ODOS Software.
- Simio simulation software provided by Simio LLC.
- TSLOPE: three-dimensional slope stability analysis program.
